While the cost of living continues to rise steadily, prices in Bali are still generally quite affordable. This contributes to a pleasant living experience on the island. Even with a more limited

Yes, especially if you live locally. Simple guesthouses, local markets and warungs keep costs low. Western-style living can get expensive very quickly though.

For a luxury holiday, Bali offers great value. High-quality resorts, excellent food, and services are much more affordable compared to similar destinations elsewhere.

Daily life is definitely cheaper than in Australia. Groceries, eating out, and transport cost far less. The only thing that really stretches the budget is the international school fees — those are quite high compared to other expenses.

Yes, it’s still affordable. My simple villa and daily expenses cost way less than in Europe or the US.

Yes, for me it is still very affordable. I rent a simple villa and cook a lot of vegetarian food myself, so it is not expensive. Of course some prices go up, but compared with France it is still okay.

Yes, especially if you keep things simple. I stay in a basic hostel and eat mostly at local warungs. It makes living here very affordable, even though prices have slowly increased over the years.

I completely agree. The cost of living is still very affordable compared to my home country, even though prices have been rising in recent years. It’s still possible to live comfortably without spending too much.

Totally agree, as a Western the prices at this moment are totally affordable. The danger lurks in the prices for locals, which are in some cases already to high

I agree — the cost of living in Bali is still quite affordable compared to many other countries. You can live comfortably here for a very reasonable price, especially outside the main tourist areas. Of course, in the South or in places that are very popular with visitors, prices can be higher, but it’s nice that Bali still offers options for every lifestyle and budget.

Dear David Cunningham. The longest travel visa might be the social budaya or cultural visa which is valid for 6 months. Permits for residential stays are having longer time periods. However, we are not a visa agency and we advise to contact a specialist in this fields to get an up to date accurate answer.
