This wooden villa is a traditional Gladak residence. Originally a Gladak house comes from central Java. This type of building was used as a storage place for rice and grains.

This villa is built from recycled old wood from an antique Gladak house. The result is a charming bungalow that consists of 2 floors.

On the ground floor, when entering on the left, we find a place where you can relax with a good book.

Opposite is the spacious kitchen.

The next room is the open living room. If you really don't want to have an open living room, it would be possible to close the room with a glass front. However, you will lose some of the charm and character of this property.

From this living room you can go to the master bedroom. One large bedroom with AC. In addition, you have access to a partially open bathroom with, among other things, a bath.

The first floor has its own entrance which would make it possible to rent out this floor.

On the landing is a small terrace and kitchenette. On this floor is the 2nd bedroom with its own bathroom.

In the garden, in front of the living room is the swimming pool. Okay, this isn't an Olympic-sized pool, but it's a nice little pool, built in an L-shape. A nice place to cool off after a hot day.

The house also has a guest toilet and an extra storage room.

The villa may be traditional but it does have western comforts such as AC in the bedrooms, a large number of sockets, rain gutters that drain the water, etc.

Important. To get to the house you can only use a footpath. It is not possible to reach the bungalow by car or motorcycle. This is something to keep in mind for those who may not have good mobility. On the other hand, of course, you have no noise from cars and motorcycles. Rest is guaranteed. You will only hear the scratching of chickens, the babbling of the river that runs past the house. Someone who is looking for peace, perhaps wants to do yoga or meditate, will certainly be able to do this in this house.

You can do your shopping at the Bintang supermarket which is located about a 5-minute walk away. From the house you can walk to the Yellow Flower Café or to the Intuitive Flow Yoga in a few minutes. Various facilities are available within a short walking distance.

The center of Ubud can be reached in about half an hour on foot.
