A few years ago, a renowned architectural firm constructed several villas in the Penestanan area of Ubud. What these villas share is a nod to Indonesia’s cultural heritage. They were built in traditional Indonesian architectural styles, such as Joglo, Gladek, and Limasan houses. Another shared feature is the use of natural materials. Wood, alang-alang grass roofs, and bedeg (woven bamboo) are prominently used in both the interiors and exteriors of the villas.

The villa is only accessible on foot. Cars and motorbikes cannot reach the villa directly. If you use a motorbike, you can park it on the main roads surrounding Penestanan. The peaceful location is a major advantage, with virtually no motorized noise, allowing you to fully immerse yourself in nature, as it was hundreds of years ago.
